Stillwater 3, Mahtomedi 2. Three first-period goals by three different skaters gave the Ponies the 3-0 advantage after the first period, enough to send them home with the win. Lauren Einan and Haley Eder-Zdechlik each recorded two points for Stillwater as Olivia Knox backed the win with 24 saves. Abby Hansen and Erika Broten scored Mahtomedi’s goals while Rachel Praml (5 saves) and Lauren Hemme (20 saves) split goaltending duties.
Eastview 4, Prior Lake 3. Kati Quaintance had a hand in all Lightning goals, assisting on her team’s first goal before recording a third-period hat trick and leading the Lightning’s 3-for-3 power play unit in a win over the Lakers. Amelia Julian made 26 saves for the Lightning. Hannah Shultz stopped 32 shots in net for the Lakers while Mackenzie Salentre tallied two assists.
Holy Angels 2, Bloomington Jefferson 2, OT. Rachel Graff recorded her second point of the night on a goal to tie the game with 20 seconds left in the third period and send the game to overtime. Lauren Welsch scored both Stars goals early in the third period. Mara McClain made 13 saves for the Jaguars. Leah Lood stopped 38 shots for the Stars. Lood fended off eight of those shots as well as a penalty kill in the overtime frame.
Eagan 4, Apple Valley 2. Lauryn Roszak scored a power play goal with less than two minutes left in the third period to break a 2-2 tie before Taylor Anderson recorded her second goal of the game on an empty net to seal the win for the Wildcats. Jenna Ruiz also recorded two points (1 G, 1 A) as Maddie Nickell made 15 saves in the win. Sophia Leong and Lily Leong tallied the Eagle goals while Keni Allen stopped 27 shots.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s 3, Chaska/Chanhassen 1. Olivia Haag scored two goals within three minutes early in the second period to give the Red Knights the 2-0 lead halfway through the game. Lauren Spear recorded the lone goal for the Storm Hawks as Katelyn Sampson made 23 saves. Carly Greene stopped 28 shots for the Red Knights.
Lakeville South 3, Lakeville North 0. Lexi Baker earned a 15-save shutout and Emily Fischler scored a pair of first-period goals in the win over Cougars’ win. Lindsay Maloney added an empty net tally to seal the win late in the third period. Kallie Schneider made 14 saves for the Panthers.
